American mobile service companies have agreed to suspend 5G service at airports. Airlines have canceled flights to and from the US saying that 5G services will affect flights. After that, AT&T and Verizon in the US have suspended the 5G service, according to the BBC.
These companies decided to start 5G service in America from Wednesday. AT & T's spokesperson while responding to news agency PTI said that they have launched this service in more than 40 countries but they are disappointed that they could not launch it in America.
After getting the information about the start of 5G service, Indian flag carrier Air India, Emirates and other companies canceled their flights to America. More than 10 airline companies including American Airlines, Delta, United and others had also requested not to start 5G mobile phone service.
How does 5G affect the plane?
Airlines companies have warned that the C band of 5G signal will affect air flights. According to the airline companies, this will affect the navigation system (direction system) of the aircraft.
A radio altimeter is installed in the aircraft. It helps the pilot to fly the aircraft in a safe manner as well as giving information about the aircraft activity. It has been warned that 5G will affect the same radio altimeter. Concern has been expressed that this will affect the aircraft's braking system and the aircraft may not be able to stop on the runway.
Airlines companies have demanded that the 5G signal should be kept about two miles away from the airport. If this is not done, they have warned that 5G will affect the airline industry, passengers, supply system, vaccine distribution and the economy.

Mobile companies have upgraded their network systems to implement 5G high speed internet service. Billions of dollars have been spent on this work. But due to the opposition of the airline companies, it has been analyzed that there is a risk in that investment.
The American wireless industry group CTIA said that the 5G system is safe. He also accused the airline companies of trying to create fear by distorting the facts.
AT&T company spokesperson said that 5G service has been implemented in 40 countries and it has not affected the airline service. But stating that he was disappointed that this service could not be implemented in America, he said - We request the American regulatory body to implement it in a timely manner.
The decision to suspend the 5G service has been welcomed by the US President Joe Biden administration. The Biden administration has said that - with this decision, the disruptions in passenger and cargo aircraft operations will be removed and the economy will continue to be put on the right track.
