Atlanta, United States: Airbus Helicopters has announced a series of new orders and partnership agreements with emergency medical service operators and law enforcement agencies in Europe and Japan, highlighting continued global demand for its H135, H140 and H145 helicopter platforms.

Japan’s National Police Agency has placed a follow on order for three H135 helicopters as part of its fleet modernization program. The aircraft will be delivered to the Hokkaido, Shimane and Miyagi Prefectural Police departments where they will support missions including aerial patrol, search and rescue operations and tactical transport.

In Europe, Germany based ADAC Luftrettung, one of the continent’s largest helicopter emergency medical service operators, has signed a long term framework agreement with Airbus Helicopters covering the H135, H140 and H145 platforms. The agreement builds on an earlier partnership announced at last year’s Verticon conference, where ADAC Luftrettung was introduced as both launch customer and development partner for the newly unveiled H140 helicopter.

Another major European operator, DRF Luftrettung, has also expanded its partnership with Airbus Helicopters by placing a new order for four H145 helicopters. The aircraft will further strengthen the organization’s air rescue fleet and enhance its operational capability in emergency response missions.

Airbus Helicopters said the latest agreements reinforce the role of its light twin engine helicopter platforms in supporting critical public safety operations such as emergency medical services, law enforcement patrol and disaster response missions worldwide.
