DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: Aviation training cooperation between Cyprus and the UAE is set for major expansion after Intercontinental Aviation Enterprise (IAE), the owner of IAA Global, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MA Group, operator of the Cyprus Airways Flying Academy (CAFA), at the Dubai Airshow 2025.
The agreement establishes a board-level strategic partnership, including a reciprocal share exchange, effectively integrating CAFA into IAA Global’s international training network. It also gives IAE a new operational base in Europe, strengthening its global reach.
A joint board will guide key areas such as fleet modernisation, the launch of new aviation training programmes, and the future development of satellite training bases.
Calling the partnership a “milestone that reshapes the company’s global presence,” IAE CEO Wissam Mehyou said the deal sets the stage for a more unified and internationally connected aviation training footprint.
