New Delhi: IndiGo, India’s largest domestic carrier, has announced that it is returning to normal operations and has introduced a series of customer compensation measures following recent disruptions that severely affected its network.

The airline stated on Thursday that passengers who were “seriously impacted” during the crisis will receive travel vouchers worth INR 10,000. In addition, passengers whose flights were cancelled within 24 hours of departure will receive compensation ranging from INR 5,000 to INR 10,000, also issued in voucher form.

These vouchers can be used for any future IndiGo flight within the next twelve months. According to the airline, mandatory compensation has been determined based on flight block time, in line with government regulations.

IndiGo further said that refunds for cancelled flights have already been processed. A majority of affected passengers have received their amounts, and the remaining refunds will be cleared shortly.
