Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.: Batik Air has expanded its footprint at Subang Airport with the launch of four new direct routes to Singapore, Jakarta, Johor Bahru, and Langkawi. The additions strengthen Subang’s position as a rising regional travel hub, offering Klang Valley passengers faster and more accessible options without the need to transit through KLIA.

The airline’s decision to increase its operations follows rising demand for both business and leisure travel across Southeast Asia. Subang’s location within the Klang Valley, combined with its growing infrastructure and easy accessibility, has made it increasingly popular among travelers seeking convenience and efficiency.

Batik Air’s Head of Marketing, Bavani Veeriah, stated that the airline is committed to supporting Subang Airport’s ongoing revival, noting that renewed investments and airport upgrades have increased its appeal. With traffic steadily recovering, Subang is emerging as an attractive gateway for domestic and regional connectivity.

The carrier already operates services from Subang to Penang, Kota Bharu, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, and Bangkok. With the addition of these four new routes, Batik Air now offers a broader network across Southeast Asia, catering to travelers looking for direct, time-saving travel options.

To mark the expansion, Batik Air has introduced its Save Big This 12.12 promotion, offering discounted fares for bookings made through Sunday, with travel valid until June 2026. The offer provides travelers with opportunities to secure affordable flights across new and existing routes.

The expanded connectivity is expected to support Malaysia’s tourism recovery and contribute to economic growth, particularly through increased travel flows from Singapore and Indonesia. The new routes will help promote key destinations such as Langkawi and Johor Bahru while enhancing regional mobility for business and leisure travelers.

With ongoing development at Subang Airport and Batik Air’s growing network, the airport is positioned to become a central hub for Southeast Asia’s travel market. The airline’s expansion is likely to encourage additional carriers to increase their presence, improving competition and travel choices in the region.

Batik Air’s new services strengthen Subang’s role as a vital regional gateway and reflect the broader momentum of Malaysia’s aviation sector as demand continues to rise.
