Croatia Airlines is set to unveil a new visual identity on July 18, coinciding with the arrival of its first Airbus A220-300. This rebranding effort marks a significant milestone as the airline transitions to a modern, single-type fleet.
The revamp includes a redesigned logo and fresh livery, departing from the original brand identity established in 1993 by Vilim Vasata and updated in 2004 by Ivana Ivanković. The current logo, featuring the iconic Croatian checkerboard, has been slightly tweaked over the years, most recently in 2019, to enhance visibility and recognition. However, the entire fleet has yet to adopt the updated livery.
The new visual identity will debut on the incoming fleet of fifteen A220 jets, while the older aircraft will be phased out. This strategic move aligns with the airline's goal of becoming a single-type operator, optimizing efficiency and consistency.
In 2021, Brussels Airlines introduced a livery similar to Croatia Airlines', underscoring the Croatian carrier's influence in aviation design. Croatia Airlines has previously received international accolades, including the ReBrand™ award in 2005 for its livery. The airline continues to take pride in its distinctive design, which resonates both locally and globally.
